CUHK : POLYU
16:0
good gracious, a perfect game (i.e. poly U didnt hv any hits, didn’t get on any bases – indeed perfect literally)
kudos to CUHK’s Li Kwan who dominated on the mound, big time.
10 strike outs, out of 12.To summarize my performance, be it good or bad:
Batting: Pop fly out, bunt, walk.
Fielding: Played 2nd base: made the last out: ground out to first. Ah, this peculiar feeling.I’d say although I wasn’t producing up to my expectations(ridiculous pop fly, RBI=0, what the heck?!), it sure was one of the best game I’ve ever played, as in the experience of this whole atmosphere with the team’s roaring spirit, from expecting a mere marginal win, to shutting them out every single inning.
We’re going to the finals.
Yes, THE inter-university softball game final. THE single game everybody’s been working hard towards. THE goal of 6 softball days a week. Really sorry for hitting like crap yesterday. I promise I’ll do better, way better. HKU, you watch.
Never under-estimate the effects of joining a school team. Sense of belonging sky-rockets.
There’s so much more I wanna say. But I’m pretty tired from 7am practise, and I gotta start doing my PCAR ECG report due today, which has been lying supine beside me for the past hour, screaming for my attention. So i’ll leave it to someone else.
Softball is by no means a substitution for baseball, instead it’s yet another avocation to complement my physical well-being.
