  不過都贏左波.

  My first at bat was in the second inning, with my team 4 runs behind.

  All I thought was “I’ve GOT to do something. we CANNOT lose this game”

  I smacked hard, the ball flew straight into deep right field…

  YES! At least a double, I thought… Runner on first, there must be a run!

  by the time I reached 2nd base, 3rd base, the ball was still in the outfield so I SHOT ON:

  I RETURNED HOME!!

  a HOME RUN!!!!!!!!!!

  There’s no place like home! Hands clapping, Team mates cheering, Opponents hissing………

  a Home run with 2 RBI’s!!!

  Just as I settled down in the dug out, took out my mobile ready to SMS somebody abt the first ever homerun i hit, and the next batter stepped into the box, the umpire went towards us.

  “That was only a ground rule double. The ball hit the fence”

  “WHAT?????????? Nobody mentioned this rule at the start of the game!!!!”

  The whole team got furious

  Our coach tried to talk through it with the umpire, but without success.

   

  It was only a double. A ground rule double.

  A MERE DOUBLE

  what a big difference. what a big disappointment

  now I’ve never hit a home run in my life, not even once.

   

  I was devastated

   

  Not only did my 4-base hit shrink into a 2-base hit, I couldn’t bat in any runs for my team at this important moment. I didn’t make any contributions. The thoughts bothered me more than I expected.

   

  It was SO gonna be a homerun…. I had to return to the long-forgotten second base

  I really felt like crying

  I REALLY REALLY wanted to cry

   

  But I knew I had to trust the next batter. She could bring me home

  and so she did.

   

  Yeah, then we scored 7 runs in the last inning, then we were 4 runs ahead again.

  We won

  o岩!!!!!!!!! 我唔可以俾人睇死!!

  So What I’m a girl I can play baseball just like a boy

   

  Well, *sigh* the home run’s in my heart

  

  下次一定要再打到!

  GOSH! The most adrenaline thrusting moment in my blood stream!!! Turning the corner around third base and coach (50) signalling me to return HOME!!!!
  

  and so I did…
  

  HOME! HERE I COME!
  

  The whole team questioning the umpire’s completely unreasonable call
  
  

  A VERY VERY sad #33 returning to the long forgotten second base
